Emerson Augusto Baptista is Professor and Researcher at the Center for Demographic, Urban and Environmental Studies (CEDUA), El Colegio de Mexico. Doctor in Demography from the Minas Gerais Federal University (Cedeplar/UFMG, Brazil) and Master in Geography. Post Doctorate at Brown University (USA), Institute at Brown for Environment and Society. 

 

His research focuses on mortality and health, and the spatial analysis of demographic aspects. He has published articles in leading social science and health journals (see CV). In addition, Emerson Baptista is a National Researcher (level II) by the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) of  SECIHTI.
